  • Can I organise my own pick up?

We allow the customer to collect the container using their own arranged transport. Let us know when purchasing the container and we will email you along with your Invoice all the details you need to know for booking with Container Chain, which is a system in place for most Shipping Container Depots to book in a suitable time slot for the pickup of your Shipping Container.

There is a small surcharge (approximately $60) when you book via container chain, and all you need is your registration details and the driver’s information then you are good to go! There are a few depots in Australia that don’t have Container Chain, so our team will tell you the Depot details, and that it is a good idea to give the yard a call prior to arrival to avoid any delays or lengthy waiting times.

  • Will rain affect my delivery?

Rain is an issue if it results in the trucks having to cross water, soft ground such as dirt roads or grass or affects the stability of your footers / container placement area.

Please advise us as soon as possible if your area has been affected by rain that is likely to cause delivery issues.

  • How can I avoid hard to close doors / container racking?

The most common problem for hard to open and close doors is due to container racking. This usually happens when the front and rear of the container are sloping in opposite directions, placing a twisting force through the opposing container corners.

A tell-tale sign of racking is a misalignment of the top or bottom of doors where they join or overlap - one door will be lower than the other when both are closed (or as close to closed as they can be).

In this instance the corner-post beneath the low corner will need to be lifted (using a lifting tool / jack or similar) and held in position (by using a timber/steel block or similar). Usually it is only a matter of a couple of centimetres of misalignment that needs to be fixed.
